WHAT WE DO
Sustain for Life is a group of non-governmental, not-for-profit entities with a mission to reduce poverty by supporting projects that empower people to create sustainable livelihoods.
Read moreSince Sustain for Life’s very first project in 2006, our philosophy and ethos haven’t changed. Rather than giving aid to help the poorest and most vulnerable, we work with local communities and organisations to give people skills, education and training so that they can help themselves.
We give people in need the initial means, knowledge and skills to encourage them to develop better lives and sustainable livelihoods through their own efforts.
We use local knowledge and people to carry out and monitor fieldwork and work in collaboration where we require specialist skills and experience.
Sustain for Life focus on areas with extreme poverty, which is currently in East and west Africa, but we are always looking at other areas where there is need and where our projects can make impact.
EXCELLENCE We aim to deliver high quality work that is value for money while also talking a long-term sustainable viewpoint.
INTEGRITY We work in an honourable and transparent way ensuring we are impartial and free of discrimination.
INNOVATION We work in collaboration with our trusted partners to ensure we are on the frontline of delivering innovative effective solutions.
