Avitus and Edson are now thriving young men

​In 2019, two brothers, Edison (then 10) and Avitus (then 16), faced a harrowing ordeal when they were brutally attacked, sustaining severe, life-threatening injuries. Sustain for Life (SFL) stepped in to provide ongoing medical care, surgeries, and rehabilitation for the boys. Recognizing the broader impact of this traumatic event, SFL also ensured their mother received necessary mental health treatment. Through these comprehensive efforts, the family gradually healed and reunited, with Edison and Avitus returning to school and adjusting to family life once more. ​Sustain For Life

By June 2023, both brothers had become students under SFL’s support and were anticipating cosmetic surgeries to be performed by Dr. Wedler from Interplast Switzerland.
