This project titled: “Computer literacy skills for blind and partially signed pupils” is designed to equip blind and low vision pupils with skills and knowledge to use computer, access email and internet independently. The project will also train blind and sighted teachers so that they can provide better training and technical support to the pupils. No one at the school can use a computer, this is a serious limitation to their learning and could negatively impact their future professionally if not addressed. The project is a roll out of the successful pilot conducted at the Milton Margai school for the blind in Freetown and at the Bombali school for the Blind. Dr Cristian has developed the training curriculum and he will be closely monitoring the learning aspects.
