KDS: Children Sponsorship Program Renewal for 2025-2029

This project will continue to enable children with special needs (SNE) to access quality education, equipping them with essential skills for their future.

Challenges:

• Children from impoverished families who cannot afford education need support.
• Children with special needs are often abandoned by their families, caregivers, and relatives.
• High dropout rates among children with special needs.
• Continued support is needed for the children whom SFL has given hope, ensuring KDS becomes a permanent home for their education and growth.

Project Activities:

• Conduct scheduled visitations for SNE scholarship children in primary and secondary schools by caregivers coordinated by KDS.
• Support children transitioning to vocational training or university.
• Cultivate small gardens around the school to provide vegetables for the children.
• Provide uniforms and essential school supplies to sponsored children.
• Offer lodging and meals for sponsored children.

Project Goals:

• Ensure access to quality and relevant education for children with special needs.
• Promote training in sustainable organic agriculture using the school’s available land.
• Improve communication skills between deaf children and their parents.
